Her passion for the Yoga Sutras began with her first Teacher Training 20 years ago.  “I already knew that the Asanas were of great benefit to me, and when I discovered that only 3 Sutras of the 196 even mentioned asana. I realized that there was great treasure to be discovered. I knew that it would not be easy, butI persisted on my own, reading and re-reading Sutra book after book and making notes. I lead a weekly Sutra study/discussion group in Ft Myers and am still discovering that this ancient teaching is a relevant and helpful tool for our complicated times”

Neck & Shoulders 1 - Key Movements in Isolation

Modern work/life practices make it tough to maintain a healthy posture and areas of the body to experience chronic pain, neck and shoulders are highly susceptible, often giving rise to headaches through "carried tension" in this area.

In this first of three Iyengar YOGA workshops, the focus is on the isolation of muscles and exploration of healthy movement of the shoulder complex, through movement technique and traditional āsana. This workshop is NOT for those currently in chronic pain where a more gentle approach may be needed. The last workshop in this series will be looking at a more remedial approach which may be more suitable.
Anyone, who experience stiffness, and residual tension that can give rise to secondary symptoms is welcome to sign up, also anyone wishing to build on there current yoga practice.
